Buddy Candela is a filmmaker, a hard worker, and a dreamer. Over the past several years, Buddy has been involved in various creative projects. Whether he is an actor, director, producer, grip or even just a production assistant, Buddy gives it his all.
Buddy graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Electronic Media Production, and with a Master's of Liberal Studies in Film in May 2016. During his time at Kent State, Buddy has worked on two full-length feature films, one national award winning music video, three award winning documentaries, several short films, and several web series. From Winter 2014 through Spring 2016, Buddy served as President of the student media organization "Kent State University Independent Film." Buddy has also worked on such films as Fast & Furious 8 and My Friend Dahmer, has participated in the Cleveland 48 hour film project, and worked a short film that was selected for the Cleveland International Film Festival.
In his spare time, Buddy enjoys playing guitar, watching the Cleveland Cavaliers, and spending time with his family.
